FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I have never tried yoga before. Will I be out of place?

Definitely not! I welcome and encourage all levels. I will guide you through all movements and provide modifications when needed. Yoga is for everyone!

What should I wear?

For in-studio yoga, you should wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely and stretch. For some this can mean loose-fitting or baggy. For others this is tighter, stretchy leggings and tops. For SUP Yoga, most people wear what they would normally wear to any yoga class. Appropriate swimsuits are acceptable, but not required. And be sure to be mindful of the weather forecast.

Will I need to wear a life jacket during SUP Yoga?

Wearing a life jacket is recommended for all participants, but not required if you are able to swim unassisted. If you cannot swim, a BOTE personal floatation device (PFD) life belt will be provided.

Do I need to know how to swim to participate in SUP Yoga?

Knowing how to swim certainly comes in handy if you fall off your board. If you don't know how to swim, a life jacket must be worn at all times. I have them for you to borrow, or you are welcome to bring your own.

I don't have a paddle board but would like to try SUP Yoga. Can I rent one?

I have a limited number of paddle boards for rent for $5 per class. If you need to rent one please let me know during your registration in the comments box, or send me a message to let me know as soon as possible to make sure one is available.
